Village "Post Office":
Some of us met up with Colin Fry and his partner Angela in the Post Office Shop - Grocers, Delicatessen and Tea Room - a far cry from the shop of our days. Most of us then went on to the church where we met up with David E & Linda the owners of the Dining Room Suite - David guided our group into and around the House.

Sherborne House:
James showed us round the Great Hall Suite. Yvonne opened her doors to the upper Table Tennis room/Tuck Room and Showers. I had arranged to stay in Louise's Studio flat No. 6 that she rents out. This is in the lower end, my front door being the huge studded door! After which we went up the stairs of - the old Headmaster's Flat (howler intended!) We had to retrace our steps down the Ship's Staircase as there is an apartment that takes in the end of the 1st floor's corridor and Senior Wash Room, next to the Sick Bay.

Out across the Inner Garden, and Cloister then up to the grand Quarter Deck stairs that led up to Dorm 54 (the Ballroom) and the Headmaster's Study (the Library) - no access today. Along the corridor which we would have walked - to David's flat - the Dining Room. We felt very privileged as we had never had acceess to this wing before. We told stories of 'Standing Out', the 'Salt Safe', the power of the 'Master's Bell', 'Serving' and 'Servery' and of the huge, now missing, 3D wooden carvings that used to grace the tops of the doors. David's partner Linda was very interested in our time at KS and asked us to return again - maybe next year.

We finished up in the Orangery for refreshments, kindly provided by Louise and Yvonne; here the group including residents viewed the KS Archive and other pictures. At nearly 2pm we broke up made our way to the Fox. We had invited all the residents who had indulged us to accompany us but only one was available, so James joined us at our table.

The Fox for lunch:
When we arrived at the restaurant we were missing a few people who had stayed behind to view Louise's flat in the Stable Block.

Sadly in the hustle and bustle of starting and finishing at different times, I neglected our 2 toasts, 'Absent Friends' and 'Servabo Fidem' - that boy, Stand Out! Anthony Hanks though unwell, along with his wife Gwen joined us briefly after the meal.

When we were all together after the meal photographs were taken of us all - Nick Sweet, Roy Limbrick, David Wilcox, Richard Hole, Martin Fewings, Rex Lerego, John Drew, Richard Samson, Colin Fry and Angela, John Carter, my daughter and me.

My daughter Claudine and Richard Samson absent - taking pictures.
